Bangalore City Institute — popularly known as BCI — was established in 1902, making it one of Bangalore's oldest and most distinguished social clubs. Located at 8, Pampa Mahakavi Road in the heritage neighbourhood of Basavanagudi, the club has been at the centre of Bangalore's sporting and social life for over twelve decades.
From its earliest days, BCI was conceived as a premier gathering ground — a place where the city's citizens could enjoy world-class sports, find camaraderie, and celebrate the cultural richness of Bangalore. The club's sprawling grounds have witnessed generations of champions, friendships forged across dining tables, and countless memories created within its walls.
Today, BCI continues to uphold its founding ideals while embracing modern facilities and a vibrant, diverse membership. The club offers an extraordinary range of amenities including swimming, tennis, billiards, squash, table tennis, a fully-equipped health club, fine dining, five bars, a library, guest rooms, and grand party halls.
Affiliated with over sixteen clubs across Karnataka and internationally — including clubs in Abu Dhabi, Nairobi, and Singapore — BCI stands as a truly global community rooted in Bangalore's heart.
